The SAT runs on Saturday 7 November 2026. Registration for that date closed on 23 October, so a student who has not booked it will need a later test. The last SAT of 2026 is on Saturday 5 December, and registration for it closes on 20 November.

The rest of the 2026-27 testing year
After December, College Board lists three more weekend dates: 6 March 2027 (register by 19 February), 1 May 2027 and 5 June 2027. Students applying to universities with early 2027 deadlines should count back from those dates, because scores are not released on test day.
The registration fee is $68. Students testing outside the United States pay an extra $43.
What this means
If you sit the test on 7 November, check your admission ticket and the test centre address in your College Board account a day or two before. The SAT is taken in the Bluebook app: from this autumn, Windows laptops need Windows 11, and school-managed Chromebooks must use Verified Mode, so run the Bluebook check on your device before test day. If you missed the 7 November deadline, register for 5 December before 20 November and use the weeks in between for full timed practice.
